O2 XDA II wireless mobile
phone has finally arrived, and the company has enhanced it with
more wireless options. The new XDA II has built-in Bluetooth
connectivity and a SDIO card slot so that you can enable 802.11b
connectivity with a wireless 802.11b SDIO Wireless card. And the
phone still provides a GPRS connectivity through the GSM networks.
For wireless connectivity, this phone has it all. You will be able
to connect this phone wirelessly while traveling, in the office, or
at home. To synchronize your phone with your PC, this phone includes
the Microsoft Activesync 3.7 software so you can sync with Microsoft
Outlook using a USB port. And you can even sync wirelessly using
Bluetooth and the Activesync software. These connectivity options
makes the XDA II one of the best smartphones available on the market
today.
The
XDA II still retains all the benefits of its predecessor, but with
all the latest technologies. The phone is now powered by the new
400Mhz Intel Xscale processor which is specifically designed for the
mobile platform. In addition, the phone's operating system runs on
the recently released Micrsoft Windows Mobile for Pocket PCs 2003
operating system. And with the new Windows Mobile for Pocket PC 2003
operating system, this smartphone automatically has a large library
of applications that you can download and run on it. It's MMC and SD
card expansion slot provides the phone with additional memory
expansion capabilities in addition to its internal memory. The
phone's newer 64K 240x320 pixels transreflective TFT color display
provides better readability with clear crisp text.
For
multimedia functionalities, this phone has it all. Because it runs
on the Windows Mobile for Pocket PC platform, it already has a large
array of multimedia software that it can run. The phone comes
bundled with Windows Media Player which allows for MP3 and video
playback. The XDA II now supports 16 chord polyphonic ringtones with
the capability to download additional ringtones from the Internet.
There is also a built-in digital VGA camera to take 640 x 480
resolution pictures where you can email or send them as MMS to your
friends and family.
The
XDA II comes bundled with a large selection of software out of the
box. It is packaged with the Pocket Software, which includes Pocket
Word, Pocket Excel, Pocket Outlook, Pocket Internet Explorer,
Windows Media Player and much more. This smartphone has lots of
software to make it productivity and very useable right out of the
box. Voice dialing can be enabled using Microsoft's new Voice
Command software for the Pocket PC platform
